Under IS 3218, commercial fire alarm systems must be tested at regular intervals to ensure they remain operational and compliant. RFC provide weekly, 6-monthly and annual fire alarm testing for commercial premises across Dublin — with full compliance records maintained for every test carried out.
Under IS 3218, a nominated person on your premises must carry out a weekly manual call point test. This involves activating one manual call point per week — rotating through all call points over the course of the year — to confirm the alarm sounders are operational. RFC provides training on how to carry out and record the weekly test as part of every installation and service visit.
6-Monthly Inspection — RFC
Every six months, RFC's IS 3218 certified engineers carry out a full inspection of your fire alarm system — testing all detectors, sounders, manual call points and the control panel. A written inspection report is provided and the system log book is updated.
Annual Service & Certification
RFC's annual fire alarm service includes a full 6-monthly inspection plus battery backup testing, panel firmware check and IS 3218 compliance certification. The compliance certificate is issued on the same day and is ready for fire authority or insurance inspection.
