In years gone by that key holder was me. I had to drag myself out of bed, get dressed and go to work in the middle of the night and hope the Gardai were still there. If not, I always felt very vulnerable while I waited for them. I never risked entering the premises on my own. When everything was checked, I’d have to return home, often with the premises left with no alarm because of damage. Then get up the following morning as usual and face a day of tidying, dealing with contractors and insurers etc. etc. This time my key holder was provided by the security company. He met the Gardai, let them gain access, check that the intruders had fled and then stayed on guard outside until I showed up for work. An essential service provided by AISM and worth every penny.
